The cottage is located just outside the Rema-Kalenga Reserve forest. The homestay is maintained by the local community there. Rema Kalenga is the largest natural forest after the Sundarbans in Bangladesh. A sanctuary for wild animals, this dry forest has been declared as ‘Reserve Forest’ by the government.
The cottage is built for the CREL project, funded by USAID. The aim of the cottage is to provide accommodation that will support travelers visiting the Rema Kalenga wildlife sanctuary. There a single bungalow consisting of two room. Best for adventure travelers who seek to experience the wild forest and do not hesitate to come out of their comfort zone.

Rema Kalenga Wildlife Sanctuary: You’ll be staying in the middle of the reserve forest. Our local guide can take you on a wildlife expedition through the forest. You can mystical beauty of the forest and rare wild animals. The forest is the perfect destination for bird watchers and wildlife photographers.
Lawachora Rain Forest: Biological diversity in the Lawachara National Park consists of 460 species, of which 167 species are plants, 4 amphibian species, 6 reptile species, 246 bird species, 20 mammal species, and 17 insect species. One of this is the critically endangered western hoolock gibbons, of which only 62 individuals remain in the area.
Madhabkunda Waterfall: One of the most well-known and major waterfalls of Bangladesh. It is situated in Borolekha thana in Moulovi Bazar District. It is about 3 km from Dakhinbagh railway station and attracts large numbers of tourists every year. Madhabkunda is a major tourist attraction of Sylhet and has a thriving tourism business.
Mr. Noman
He is an enthusiastic young man living just beside the eco-cottage for a long time. Noman is also a trained tour guide for Rema Kalenga Forest. He is one of the entrepreneurs recognized and funded by Nishorgo Network, funded by CREL USAID. He wants to promote the forest and local community living there.
