Nijhum Dwip is the island of silence and tranquility, where lives with deer!! Life struggles here but it has splendid natural beauty. The eye-catching and very quiet environment of this island really justifies its name. The nijhum dwip tour will definitely amaze you with coastal beauty and local hospitality. Nijhum dwip hotels are not furnished.
There is a beautiful sea beach around the island which is broken apart. From the beach, some uncultivated ‘Char’ will be visible which are temporary residents of fishermen.
– The jungle of the island is mainly mangrove forest. The scenarios of the jungle are enjoyable.
– You can eat fresh fish at a cheap rate.
– An enjoyable boat ride in the Chowdhury canal experiencing tremendous natural views.
Nijhum Dwip lately known as Char Osman is a small island in the heart of Bay of Bengal. It was named Nijhum Dwip by former minister Amirul Islam Kalam. The island is now having a vast mangrove forest with a great number of natural resources. Nijhum Dwip is located at Hatia Upazila of Noakhali district. You can see a huge amount of deer almost all over the island. From whichever side you enter into the jungle, you may see a herd of deer if you follow the precautions. That means you need to remain silent in the jungle, wear a light color dress and to know other precautions you can visit the forest office.
The ship will be leaving at 5 PM from Sadarghat terminal, Dhaka. Tourists need to report by 4 PM. Cabin will be provided for every person. Dinner will be served in the cabin of the ship.
The riverside view will surely amaze you.
Its an overnight journey to reach Hatiya.
8 AM: Reached Hatiya island and breakfast.
9 AM: Bike / Boat ride 1 hour to another part of the island.
12 AM: Reached Nijhum Island and check in to local house/hotel. We have different types of host there, you can choose as you wish.
After lunch, our guide will take you to the sea beach and a small tour of the mangrove forest. Also, visit the white sand sea beach at Nijhum Dwip.
Lunch and dinner will be served at a local family house with local traditional food items. Mostly with fresh fishes and local vegetable items. Fish dishes will make your day better.
Night stay at a local hotel or cottages. We will make sure a comfortable accommodation and sufficient amount of pure drinking water.
7 AM: Breakfast will be served with Paratha Egg & Vegetable.
9 AM: After breakfast, a boat ride will be arranged at a canal named Choudhury Khal. The canal will take you to the heart of mangrove forest where you will able to see heard of deer. You’ll experience vast wildlife in the mangrove forest. Our trained tour guide will help you along the forest and meet the heard of deer.
2 PM: Return to the Bazar and lunch will be served with standard Bengali menu.
4 PM: In the afternoon, roam around the island and the beach to another side of the island.
Night stay at the local house. We can arrange a fish BBQ if you prefer.
8 AM: Breakfast with Paratha, Egg & Vegetable.
After serving breakfast, the return journey will be started.
11 PM: Reach at Hatiya and small boat journey to reach Chairman Ghat. It’ll take 3 hours to cross Hatiya Channel by engine boat.
3 PM: Lunch will be served at a local restaurant with a standard Bengali menu in Sonapur Upazila.
4 PM: Start the journey to Dhaka by highway non-a/c chair coach bus.
