Nijhum Dwip lately known as Char Osman is a small island on the heart of Bay of Bengal. It was named Nijhum Dwip by former minister Amirul Islam Kalam. The island is now having a vast mangrove forest with a great amount of natural resources. Nijhum Dwip is located at Hatia upozila of Noakhali district. It is almost 40,390 square kilometers and the population is almost 30,000. Most of the people of the island are fishermen. Thousands of migratory birds come to the island in Winter. Nijhum Dwip is declared as a national park for the protection and development of biodiversity of the forest. It is now a safe resident of thousands of Deer.
You can see a huge amount of deer almost all over the island. From whichever side you enter into the jungle, you may see herd of deer if you follow the precautions. That means you need to remain silent in the jungle, wear light color dress and to know other precautions you can visit the forest office. They are very much helpful.

- Day 1 Night Long River Trip
The ship will be leaving at 5 PM from Sadarghat terminal, Dhaka. Tourists need to report by 4 PM. Welcome snacks will be provided at the time of departure. Dinner will be served in the cabin of the ship. The river side view will surely amaze you.
- Day2 Hatiya Island
7 AM: Reached at Hatiya island and breakfast. 9 AM: Bike ride 1 hour to another part of the island. 11 AM: Reached at Nijhum Island and check in to local house. After lunch the sea beach and a small tour to the mangrove forest. Lunch and dinner will be served at local family house with local traditional food items. Fish dishes will make your day better.
- Day3 Home of Deer
After breakfast, a boat ride will be arranged at a canal named Choudhury Khal. The canal will take you to the heart of mangrove forest where you will able to see heard of deer. You'll experience vast wildlife in the mangrove forest. Our trained tour guide will help you along the forest and meet the heard of deer. Night stay at local house. We can arrange fish BBQ if you prefer.
- Day 4 Return
Another deer trip will be arranged before the sun rise. After serving breakfast, the return journey will be started. 1 Hour bike ride to Hatiya Island. Then, a highway chair coach bus will take you straight to Dhaka. Lunch will be served on the way to Dhaka.
As it is small and natural disaster affected island, there is no luxury hotel is the island. Some low standard small hotels are available in the island. But few higher standard cottages and hotels have been built there. Even few restaurants are available which do not provide proper hygiene food dishes. But you can eat fresh fishes cooked by traditional recipes especially Hilsha fish with low cost. You can have normal bengali dishes (rice, fish/meat curry, dal) at these restaurants. Don't miss the chance to eat fresh Hilsha and other fishes in the island
As you will be visiting forest so you should be careful about foot ware. Using converse or keds shoes is recommended.
And you should wear comfortable clothes in which the most part of the will be covered. You might be touched by insects or plants which might be harmful. So covering most part of the body will help you avoid unexpected harmful insects and plants.
If you have fear of water, we can make arrangement of road transportation. But you need to use waterway for at least 2 hours. If you do not want the bike ride, we can transport you by local vehicle.
